Description

Select either standard graphite ferrules (for GC applications), graphitized vespel (the standard for GC/MS applications) or the new SilTite™ ferrules for all your Agilent, Thermo, Varian, Perkin Elmer, and Shimadzu GC and GC/MS instruments. How to Use SilTite™ Ferrules

only use the special SilTite nut with a SilTite ferrule
for Agilent Technologies inlet connections, only use SilTite inlet base seal and SilTite nut

Types

15% Graphite / 85% Vespel® Ferrules

the standard for GC/MS
robust and hard material
forms strong grip with capillary column, cannot be reused
low emissions - suitable for use with GC/MS interfaces
must re-tighten connection after initial temperature cycles
maximum temperature of 350 °C

100% Graphite Ferrules

highest quality graphite material used
lowest emission ferrules on the market
excellent compressibility providing an excellent seal
for high temperature seals
not recommended for GC/MS connections
maximum temperature of 450 °C

SilTite™ Ferrules

no more leaks
no need to re-tighten nut after installation and thermal cycling
have the same thermal expansion coefficient as SilTite nuts thus giving a highly reliable seal
reusable nut
