- The SW 110 Multi-Purpose Spot Welder (This Page)
Description
The versatile SW 110 multi-purpose welder occupies minimum counter space and is very lightweight. It welds with four welding heats and has electrodes that are self-centering. The select-a-matic turrets allow selection of a working electrode combination by rotating the turrets with finger pressure. Latching action automatically aligns and securely holds one of the four electrodes in place.The heat selector turns the welder on and off and selects both welding and auxiliary heats. Station “S” is for soldering with the turrets rotated to the soldering electrodes. Stations “S” plus #1, 2and 3 provide progressively higher heats for the auxiliary outlets which are activated by depressing the hand rest/tray. Station #4 is for welding only and is not connected to the auxiliary functions. Stations #1, 2, 3 and 4 can all be used for welding. The lever type operating switch activates the solid-state circuitry releasing a time controlled welding pulse. This switch lever is also used when soldering. The hand rest/tray separates the electrodes and activates the auxiliary function switch as well as doubling as a part holding tray. The ready light illuminates when the welder is ready to function. With some of the available accessories it can be used for electro-soldering, heat tempering,and annealing. Output is 4.8 Volts at 36 Amp.

Auxiliary Cables and Accessories
The auxiliary cables, annealing jack, and plug-in vise are designed to provide auxiliary functions of soldering, annealing,heat tempering and stress relieving when used with the miniature spot welder. The cables have reversible tips which permit several combinations of metal tip, soldering tip and vise tip. Cables come complete with brass tips, wire use tip and carbon soldering tip. They have sturdy white handles, cords and a banana type plug. A plug-in vise can be used to replace one cable when a stationary grip is required for soldering. The annealing plug provides a practical method of softening by removing the temper from sections of wire.
Note: Electrically conductive materials such as aluminum, copper, gold and silver do not lend themselves to resistance welding.
