SIS will be attending ASMS 2013 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 9th -13th. Drop by and visit us. We are in booth 106 and we will be presenting a technical poster.  We will also be showcasing parts and supplies for GC,GC/MS, LC, and  LC/MS including ion transfer tubes and heated capillaries for Thermo MS instruments which are highlighted below.

We are also promoting our mass spec databases, such as our flagship NIST 11.  Existing NIST 11 users can request a free update to the NIST 2012 MS/MS library, also available separately.  Wiley recently released new MS libraries for Tandem MS, Registry 10th, and Drugs 2013.

Ion Transfer Tubes & Heated Capillaries for Thermo Instruments


Ion Transfer Tube

This is a direct replacement for the Thermo p/n 97055-20198 ion transfer tube used on the LTQ, LTQFT, LTQFT Ultra, and Orbitrap Mass Spectrometers. The ion transfer tube allows ions from the ESI, APCI, APPI sources to enter the LTQ Linear ion Trap. The LTQ will lose sensitivity over time as contaminates build up inside the tube. It is recommended to replace this guide at least quarterly to insure ultimate instrument sensitivity.  Replacement takes only seconds and sensitivity is restored.


Heated Capillary

SIS can now provide a direct replacement for the heated capillary for the Thermo Fisher Scientific TSQ and LCQ Mass Spectrometers. The heated capillaries are available in two inner capillary diameter sizes (0.4 mm ID and 0.5 mm ID).

The main stainless Steel tube is 4.25" long by 0.312" diameter. The inner capillary is heated via a cable heater with a thermocouple to measure the temperature of the capillary. The unit comes complete with a phenolic bushing connector wired with a 7 connector pins and the two external leads with push on connectors.

SIS can also supply the capillary sleeves and capillary mount bushings for the Thermo heated capillary as well as the Kalrez™ O-ring. The bushing and sleeves are machined from PEEK material in our machine shop to the correct tolerances to fit the Heated Capillary.
