Description
Applications include sapphire lenses, which demand a hard material that can withstand thermal and environmental shock, high wear resistance, and chemical compatibility.
These sapphire balls have a diameter tolerance of ±2.5 micron (i.e. A.F.B.M.A. Grade 25) and per-ball tolerance of sphericity (permissible difference between the largest diameter and the smallest diameter measurable on any one ball) of 0.625 micron.
