Telatemp Irreversible Temperature Indicator Labels

Miniature, economical self-adhesive indicator labels permanently blacken on surface overheat. Ranges from 100°F to 500°F (38°C to 260°C).

Telatemp non-reversible temperature recording labels economically sense and record surface temperatures. Each recorder contains six sealed temperature sensitive indicators which turn permanently and irreversibly from silver to black at its calibrated rated temperature. Response time is less than one second with an accuracy of ±1% or 2% depending on the temperature rating. Rated temperatures are printed in both d°F and °C at each indicator window, and the direct readout can be read at a glance. The miniature size and thickness (nominal 0.01") of these labels allow installation in areas and on parts which are not practical for other instruments.

The exposed Telatemp temperature labels may be removed for test reports or filed for subsequent reference. The recorders will withstand thermal cycling, solvents and water, and can be stored indefinitely.

The General Purpose Model 110 contains six temperature sensitive increments covering a range of 50°F on a single model. Ranges from 100°F to 500°F (38°C to 260°C). Rated values are printed at the indicator window in both °F and °C. High temperature models are white in color, with gold indicators. Size: 1.75" x 0.75".

Special model 110-10-13 (not listed below) is a 5-increment label which covers a range of 100 to 130 (38 to 54) with six temperature sensitive indicators.

A typical application of these temperature strips is for the monitoring of oil temperatures on vacuum pumps. By placing the self adhesive temperature strip on the outer oil housing casing of the vacuum pump, the temperature of the oil transmitted to the case housing can be monitored.

Normal oil temperatures for Alcatel Vacuum pumps is 130 °F to 140 °F. With age, increased wear, decomposition of pump oil, or severe mechanical problems, this temperature will exceed 140 °F. When this occurs, the temperature measuring strip will indicate the higher temperature and the pump can be removed for an oil change or other servicing.

Most rough vacuum pumps should not exceed 150 °F (70 °C).

SL Sensor Labels record warming temperatures that could damage product or are required to achieve certain bonding or flow processes. The chemical sensor in the middle of the bright yellow SL label provides a permanent color change from silver to black when exposed to the rated temperature. Marked in Fahrenheit and Celsius temperatures, the 3/8-inch (9mm) diameter self-adhesive recorder is available in temperature values of 100°F (38°C), 105°F (40°C), 110°F, 115°F, 120°F and every 10°F increment from 120°F to 350°F (177°C).
