record surface temperatures. Each
recorder contains six sealed tempera-
ture sensitive indicators which turn
permanently and irreversibly from
silver to black at its calibrated rated
temperature.
Response time is less than one
second with an accuracy of ±1%.
Rated temperatures are printed in both
°F and °C at each indicator window,
and the direct readout can be read at a
glance.
Two temperature ranges of 100° F
to 150°F (38°C to 66°C) and 140° F to
190°F (60°C to 86°C) are available.
Overall label size is 1.75" long by 0.75"
high.
Atypical application of these
temperature strips is for the monitoring
of oil temperatures on vacuum pumps.
By placing the self adhesive tempera-
ture strip on the outer oil housing cas-
ing of the vacuum pump, the temperature of the oil transmitted to the case housing can be
monitored.
Normal oil temperatures for Alcatel Vacuum pumps is 130° F to 140° F. With age,
increased wear, decomposition of pump oil, or severe mechanical problems, this
temperature will exceed 140° F. When this occurs, the temperature measuring strip will
indicate the higher temperature and the pump can be removed for an oil change or other
servicing.

Description of Our Service
Every pump serviced by IVS goes through a comprehensive overhaul process. The
pump is completely disassembled and decontaminated through a high temperature,
high pressure caustic cleansing process. Each component is inspected and any part
that does not meet OEM specifications is either replaced or remanufactured. Each pump
receives a full major kit that replaces all of the consumable parts within the pump. Any other parts that are
damaged or do not meet specifications, such as a rotor, stator, motor, shaft etc., will be written up and priced as additional parts required.
Once a pump is analyzed, a Service Analysis Form is submitted to the customer detailing our findings. Upon final approval the pump is
built and performance tested for up to 72 hours before being re-painted. Every pump that IVS sells or services includes a one-year war-
ranty against defects in materials and workmanship, effective from the documented date of installation.
