cientific Instrument Services manufac-
tures replacements for the VG filaments
which are similar in design to the original
VG filament. This new design is a direct retrofit
and incorporates a glass frit to hold the posts in
place.
We also manufacture VG-FAB probe tips.
These new probe tips are similar in construction to
the original FAB tips but with a slightly larger and
stronger ceramic base. This results in a much
more durable probe tip

supplies exact replacement heaters for the VG mass spectrometer sources, LC interfaces, and
thermospray instruments. All heaters are constructed from 6 hole (1.97 mm O.D.) ceramic tubing. Standard heater wire for all
VG instruments is 0.010" tantalum, however other wire types are available on special request. S.I.S. can manufacture other
heaters for your particular requirements. Call or send us your specifications for a quotation. S.I.S. can repair all heaters for the VG mass
spectrometer.
