VG and Vestec Filaments

Scientific Instrument Services manufactures replacements for the VG 7070 filament which are similar in design to the original VG filament. This new design is a direct retrofit and incorporates a glass frit to hold the posts in place. Five styles are available: the standard five coil design (#VGF1 ), used on most instruments and the three coil design (#VGF2), used in high sensitivity applications, the ribbon design (#VGF3), the Autospec design (VGF4) which has a vertically mounted coil and the filament used on the MD800 (VGF5) and Platform (VGF6).
