The Purge & Trap Glass Sample Tubes are constructed from borosilicate glass with 0.5" O.D. tube ends for mating with standard 1/2"
fittings. The tubes incorporate a foam breaker usable for the purging of foaming samples. Two sizes of tubes are available. The 5.0 ml
glass tubes are 5.75" long with a 1.0" diameter foam breaker. The 25.0 ml glass tubes are 7.60" long with a 1.6" diameter foam breaker.
The top connection on all tubes is 0.50" outside diameter.

Plastic Safety Shields for Sample Purging System
The Plastic Safety Shields have been constructed for the S.I.S. Purge & Trap System. The Shields are designed to slide into the
groove milled into the Purge & Trap System Base. Two heights of the safety shields are available. The 5.5" high shields are for use with
the 5.0 ml sampling tube or other sample tubes of similar size. The 7.5" high safety shields are for use with the 25 ml sampling tubes. In
addition to the standard straight safety shields, two additional models are available with slots in the top part of the back side for use with
sampling tubes with septa side arm ports.

Stainless Steel Sparging Needles for Sample Purging System
A
variety of lengths of the stainless steel sparging needles are available for the S.I.S
TM
. Purge & Trap system. All needles are
constructed from stainless steel capillary tubing, 0.50 mm O.D. Approximately 10 mm from the flat end a metal hub is attached
for the seating and sealing of the needle in the fitting on the S.I.S. liquid purge head. The 5.0 ml sample tubes use the 16.0
cm long needles, and the 25.0 ml sample tubes use the 22.5 cm long needles. In addition the 11.5 cm long needles can be used with
standard 12 mm x 75 mm long disposable Pyrex glass test tubes.
Stainless Steel Metal Frit Spargers for the Purge & Trap System
For the most efficient sparging of liquid samples
T
he stainless steel metal frit spargers have been designed for use with the S.I.S. Purge and Trap system. They consist of a 1/16"
O.D. stainless steel capillary tube attached to a 5.0 micron porous stainless steel frit. This provides for a tiny bubble sparger to
efficiently sparge the volatiles from liquid samples. Two sparger lengths are available. The 16 cm length is for use with the S.I.S.
5.0 ml sample tubes and the 22.5 cm length is for use with the S.I.S. 25.0 ml sample tubes.
