Labclear

Refillable Gas Filter
T
he Labclear Gas Filter is designed to
remove water, oil and other foreign material
from inert carrier gases such as nitrogen,
helium or argon. A mixture of Drierite®, an indicating
desiccant, and a #13X molecular sieve is contained
within the transparent Labclear canister. The Drierite®
desiccant will change color from blue to pink with the
absorption of moisture. The color change is readily
observed through the Labclear body, indicat-
ing a need for refilling.
The Labclear cartridge is
easily refilled by removing
the exhausted filler mix-
ture and replacing it with
the Labclear Refill Kit, an
inexpensive and easy to use
premixed refill of new materials. This unit is offered in both the
"inline" and "baseplate" models, with either 200 cc capacity
(approx. 7 1/2" x 2") or the 400 cc capacity (approx. 14" long by 2"
diam.) All models are tested at 120 psi and 100°F.
Refill Kit
For use with the Labclear refillable gas filters, we offer an eco-
nomical and convenient refill kit. You can now purchase premixed,
one pint (400cc) jars, enough for two refills of the 200cc models or
one refill of the 400cc model.
Labclear Disposable Gas Filter

or your convenience, the LabClearTM Disposable Gas
Filter is now available. Like the refillable model, it con-
tains indicating Drierite
®
desiccant and 13x molecular
sieve. The body of the LabClearTM Disposable Gas Filter
is constructed of clear PVC for easy viewing of the
Drierite® color indication, which changes color from
blue to pink with the absorption of moisture and
comes equipped with 1/8" or 1/4" brass male tube
compression fittings. Each unit is tested at 125
psi, and can withstand temperatures up to
100°F. The LabClearTM Disposable Gas
Filter is offered only in the 200 cc capac-
ity with the "inline" configuration, and is
approximately 7" long by 2" in diame-
ter. Flow rate to 5 liters per minute.

Disposable Gas Purifier
T
he Oxiclear Gas Purifiers are oxygen absorbing gas puri-
fiers with high efficiency and low resistance to gas flow.
Oxiclear Gas Purifiers are primarily designed for applica-
tions involving gas chromatography, glove boxes and anaerobic
experiments. They remove oxygen and trace amounts of water
and organics from inert carrier gases such as nitrogen, helium and
argon. Oxiclear purifiers are efficient to less than 50 ppb when the
incoming oxygen concentration is 21% or less. Furthermore, all
models can withstand pressures in excess of 125 psi and temper-
atures up to 100°C.
The Oxiclear Disposable Gas Purifier is offered in the "inline" configu-
ration, with either 1/4" or 1/8" brass male tube compression fittings. lt is
capable of purifying the contents of 4-5 standard cylinders of 300 cubic feet
(900 cubic feet at STP), easily removing oxygen from inert carrier gases
down to less than 50 ppb. The disposable Oxiclear Purifier is approximate-
ly 5 1/2" long by 2" in diameter and is finished in polished silver color.
Offering a very low resistance to gas flow, .003 psi (cc/second), the
Oxiclear Disposable Gas Purifier will deliver 100 cc/second at pressure
drop of only 0.3 psi.
This new Oxiclear filter from LabclearTM will remove oxygen to
50 ppb from inert carrier gases such as nitrogen, helium, and
argon. The gold anodized aluminum canister is only 1-1/4" in diam-
eter by 10" long and is available in both 1/4" and 1/8" nickel plated
brass tube fittings.
