A
wide variety of glass and quartz injection port liners are available for use in the
heated injection ports of gas chromatographs. Injection port liners provide for
the heating of samples in the GC injection port with minimal sample
decomposition and reduce the problem of GC column contamination.
Glass Injection Port Liners
Glass injection port liners are commonly used in most applications. The liners are
made of borosilicate glass and are completely clear with polished ends.
Quartz Injection Port Liners
These liners, made from fused silica quartz are ideal for applications requiring more
inert surfaces. SIS offers a wide selection of these highly inert liners as precision
alternatives to the glass liners supplied by other manufacturers. The liners are opaque
with ground square and chip free ends.
Grooved Injection Port Liners
Injection port liners can be supplied with a gas inlet groove cut in the side of the liner.
These liners are listed below as part numbers GIPL2 and QIPL2. Grooves in other sizes
of liners are available on request.
