Thermo DEP Filaments
New Direct Exposure Probe filaments, Thermo #40060-98006, are available from
S.I.S. for use on Thermo 4000, 4500 and TSQ mass specs. These are direct retrofits for
the original plug-in filaments. Repair service, which includes ceramic insulator cleaning
and attachment of a new filament loop, is also available.

TSQ FAB Tips
The FAB tips used on the TSQ (Thermo MAT#70001-20285) are available from S.I.S.
In addition to the copper tip, we also have stainless steel tips and gold plated stainless
steel tips. Some users have found these to be a better choice for some applications.

Filaments
These Thermo 4500/TSQ filaments designed by S.I.S.
TM
, are similar to the original TSQ
filaments but incorporate several design improvements. The round filament posts are
stronger and will not flex as easily as the original posts, which caused the filament to sag.
The shield is lowered to help eliminate a sagging filament from hitting it and shorting out.
This filament should provide better performance and longer life than the original Thermo
filament.

he heater source for the Thermo 4500/4600 and the TSQ70, 700 (Thermo
#400050-60270) includes 4 cartridge heaters, ceramic insulators, leads and
connectors. Individual cartridges (Thermo #40005-98020) are also available
should a cartridge burn out.
The heater assembly for the Thermo 4500/4600, TSQ can be repaired for .
Extreme care must be taken when packaging this unit for shipping to S.I.S. Additional
heater cartridges are easily broken off if not properly packaged. The heater assembly is
not repairable if more than two heater cartridges are burnt out or need to be replaced.
