New Calibration Compound for Mass Spectrometers
S
cientific Instrument Services introduces a new calibration mix-
ture for electrospray ion sources. This mixture covers a wide
mass range from 195 to 1922. It is already in the proper con-
centration to run directly in an electrospray source without dilution. The
mixture consists of caffeine, MRFA (met-arg-phe-ala) peptide, and per-
fluoroalkylphosphazine.

Calibration Compound
T
his new Calibration compound is an ideal supplement
to FC-43 and will be extremely useful for calibration in
the 500 to 600 mass range. FC-70 is a liquid at room
temperature and can be used in the same manner as FC-43. FC-
70 is available in bottles of 35 and 100 grams.

many mass spectroscopists for use with certain compounds
such as polyethyleneglycol and polypeptides.

Scientific Instrument Services is offering Cesium
Iodide/Rubidium Iodide/Sodium Iodide FAB calibration compound.
This 1:1:1 molar mixture is a 10% solution in distilled water. This com-
pound is excellent for calibration up to the 2000 mass range because
of the high number of peaks per scan.
Cesium Iodide Calibration
Compound
Cesium Iodide calibration compound is available from Scientific
