CeI/RbI/NaI FAB Calibration Compound

CsI/RbI/NaI Calibration Compound (FAB-C1)

Fast Atom Bombardment (FAB) is rapidly becoming the accepted method for many types of analyses and therefore Scientific Instrument Services is offering Cesium Iodide/Rubidium Iodide/Sodium Iodide FAB calibration compound. This 1:1:1 molar mixture is a 10% solution in distilled water. This compound is excellent for calibration up to the 2000 mass range because of the high number of peaks per scan.

FAB Matrix Solutions

Scientific Instrument Services offers two solutions for suspension of samples on the FAB probe tips. Both glycerin and thioglycerin are available from S.I.S. These solutions are high purity, mass spectrometer quality mounting solutions.

Thioglycerin (3-mercapto - 1,2-propanediol) is preferred by many mass spectroscopists for use with certain compounds such as polyethyleneglycol and polypeptides.
