Glass Filled PTFE Ferrules - 250 °C
- Constructed of Glass Filled PTFE®
- For vacuum sealing glass columns and jets to
fittings
- Maintains PTFE's sealing properties,
but with less flow at high temperature
- Does not flake like graphite and clog jets
- Maximum usable temperature is 250 °C
- Recommended for glass GC columns and jet
separators
- Two styles available: Type GTF requires a back
ferrule, type OTF does not.
- For 1/4 inch O.D. Glass columns and jets

These ferrules are constructed from glass filled PTFE, giving the ferrules the sealing
properties of PTFE but
minimizing the flow problems normally encountered with pure
PTFE. All ferrules fit the
standard Swagelok, Parker, SGE and other GC fittings. Glass
filled PTFE ferrules are
ideal for use on mass spectrometer jet separators, glass and
metal GC columns and for glass and fused silica capillary
columns.

Graphitized Vespel Ferrules - 350 °C
These Vespel ferrules contain 15% graphite.
Because these ferrules are harder, they do not distort
and flow as much as other types and are ideal for butt
type connections where the flowpath might be interrupted.
Greater care must be used when installing these ferrules
due to their greater hardness to minimize glass jet
breakage. However, these ferrules are usable up to 350
degres C. Available in package of 10.

Vespel Ferrules - 350 °C
These are natural or unfilled Vespel ferrules and are
a harder material than our graphitized vespel ferrules.
Therefore, extreme care must be used when using these
ferrules. Vespel ferrules are not normally recommended
for jet separators.
Note - Both types of Vespel ferrules form reliable
seals, however, with extreme temperature cycling from 300
°C the ferrules may leak due to the natural hysteresis
of Vespel. Available in package of 10.

Graphite - Ferrules - 450 °C
Graphite ferrules are 99.95% pure graphite and are
extremely easy to use, for obtaining reliable leak free
connections. Because graphite does not stick or bind onto
the tubing, graphite may be removed and reused. Graphite
ferrules are used by many mass spec users on their jet
separators due to their ease of removal. However, vacuum
seals may not be as efficient as other types of ferrules.
