Cleaning Wire Tools for Unclogging Jet Seperators

These jet separator cleaning tools, designed and manufactured by S.I.S., allow you to unclog your jet separators quickly and easily. Each tool has a 4" long stainless steel handle with a tungsten wire cleaning tip. Tungsten is used because it is both rigid and abrasive. These tools are available in two lengths and several different diameters. The finger band handle on the end of the tool makes them easy to use and the cleaning wire size is stamped on the ring, making identification easy.

The following kits contain two identical wire cleaning tools per box. Two wire lengths are available (3/8" and 7/8") in the diameters listed below. The 3/8 inch wires are for SGE manufactured jets and the 7/8" wires are for jets of other manufacturers.

SGE Jet Cleaning Kit This kit was specifically designed for SGE jet separator cleaning. The kit consists of one 0.004" cleaning tool for the GC side of the separator, one 0.006" cleaning tool for the mass spec side, and one flat tool for cleaning between the jets. The tungsten wires on these cleaning tools are all 3/8" long. Note: The flat tool cannot be used in the MJSS/FN4000 jet since these jets are offset from the stem. They can be used in all other SGE jets where the jet is not offset.

Finnigan MAT Jet Cleaning Kit

This kit is designed for cleaning Finnigan manufactured jets. Two wire sizes are contained in this kit. A 0.002 inch diameter tool to clean the GC spec side of the jet, and a 0.004" diameter tool to clean the MS side. In addition, the wire ends of these tools are tapered to a needle point to allow the cleaning wire to penetrate through a narrowed jet tip. All cleaning wires in these kits are 7/8" long.
