3um Qualitative Standard Filter Discs

Grade 237 Filter Disc is highly absorbant, twice as thick as grade 642with similar partical retention. The superior absorbencyoffers excellent performance when used as a sample carrier. The extra thickness gives higher wet strength and loading capacity, enabling more precipitate to be held without clogging the filter. 2.5um Qualitative Standard Filter Discs

Grade 601 Filter Disc is used for clarifying liquids and for rapid filtration of coarser precipitates such as lead sulfate, lad chromate, calcium oxalate, calcium carbonate, aluminum phosphate, barium carbonate and berylium hydroxide. Ahlstrom 601 can be used in soil analysis, seed testing and air monitoring to collect dust-laden air and is commonly used in the food industry to separate foodstuffs from associated liquid or extracting liquid. Grade 609 Filter Disc is an evolution of Ahlstrom 613 for use in the beer industry. This is a filter paper with an extremely low iron and nitrogen content for the analysis of protein in beer.

1.5um Qualitative Standard Filter Discs

Grade 610 Filter Disc is a slow flowing filter designed to retain fine particles encountered in qualitative analysis. Ahlstom 610 is widely used for water analysis, biological products and fine precipitates such as cold-precipitated barium sulfate. Ahlstrom 610 is also used in Buchner funnels and to clarify cloudy suspensions.

Grade 613 Filter Disc is a strong filter paper with a medium flow rate and retention. Ahlstrom 613 is comonly used in student laboratories. This strong general purpose filter is also useful in Buchner funnels for barium carbonate, lead chromate and beryllium hdroxides. Grade 615 Filter Disc is a fast filtering intermediate grade between Ahlstrom 617 & Ahlstrom 631. Ahlstrom 615 has a rough surfaceand is used for filtering aluminum, ferric and magnesium hydroxides. It is also used for general construction filtration work and in the filtration of insoluable iron and ore.

35um Qualitative Standard Filter Discs

Grade 617 Filter Disc is an extremely fast and has a larger partical retention than Alstrom 631. Ahlstrom 617, a thicker filter paper with higher loading capacity, is used for rapid filtration of coarse particals and gelatinous precipitates such as oils and resin solutions. Ahstrom 617 is also used in construction project testing and is used by students to retain large flocculents and precpitates.

Grade 631 Filter Disc is used for the filtration of coarse paticles and gelatinous precipitates such as ferric aluminum and magnesium hydroxides. Ahlstrom 631 is used in air monitoring and gas filtration when high flow rate is needed. This grade is also used in routine cleanup analysis of insoluable liquids such as biological fluids and organic elements.

2um Qualitative Standard Filter Discs

Grade 642 Filter Disc has a finer partical retention than Ahlstrom Grade 601but with slightly lower medium filtration speed. Ahlstrom 642 also has higher absorbsion than Ahlstrom 601. It is used in general laboratory applications to retain particles above 2um in size. Ahlstrom 642 ia also found in agricultural and environmental laboratories for plany growth trials, soil testing and air analysis for monitoring specific contaminants and in the filrtation of organic and sulfide precipitates.
