become damaged or broken, they can be repaired in our shops.

Agilent 5971

Feedthrough Repair

The feedthroughs on the 5971 analyzer top

plate can be replaced by SIS These

feedthroughs are very fragile and susceptible

to damage. Repair includes drilling out the old

feedthrough, TIG welding a new feedthrough in

place, and helium leak testing of repaired

feedthrough. This repair requires returning the

analyzer top plate. We will

repair within 72 hours.

Interface Repair

The GC/MS Interface on the Agilent Technologies 5971,

5973/75/77 MSD can be damaged if care is not used. The

1/16" Swagelok fitting can be broken or stripped if overtight-

ened. SIS can replace this fitting if it becomes damaged.

Agilent 5970 Entrance Lens Repair

The spotwelds holding the two parts together can break loose.

SIS can clean both parts and reweld them together. This can

easily be done on a rush basis, if necessary.

Agilent GC Injection Port Repair

The injection port used on the Agilent Technologies GC and GC/MS systems can be

repaired. The SS line can become clogged, broken or the joint can leak. SIS can

replace the line with a new 1/16" SS line. If the weld is leaking, but the SS line is

fine, then we can reweld the silver solder joint. All repairs include cleaning and leak

testing of the joint.

Agilent 5890/6890/7890 GC Injection Port Repair

Both the old style and the new style injection ports from the Agilent Technologies

5970 GC/MS system can be repaired by SIS This injection port is Agilent

#19251-60520. The stainless steel lines often develop leaks where they are

welded to the injection port or the lines can become clogged or kinked. SIS will

repair or replace the lines as required.
