Velocity Analytical Column System

Analytical columns are getting shorter, separations are getting faster and increased throughput is an operational mandate. New techniques in parallel synthesis and analysis are placing heavy demands on LC instrumentation. And no matter what the application, speed is an indispensable part of remaining competitive in the HPLC arena.

Optimize is pleased to introduce Velocity an analytical column system designed specifically to meet the challenges of high-throughput analysis. Velocity represents a revolutionary step forward in column design. In form and function, it is like no other analytical column product on the market today.

Other fast HPLC columns are merely shorter versions of the same clunky old hardware. But Velocity is an entirely new column design, based on our OPTI-LYNX quick-connect technology. Once connected, the Velocity system allows you to change analytical columns with an easy quarter-twist. You can also change guard column cartridges and prefilters just as easily.When it's time to change columns, grab the ends of the Velocity column holder, open it with a quarter-twist, pop out the old cartridge and insert a new one. Need to change column lengths? Simply trade your holder tube for one of a different length, all without even touching your tubing!

VELOCITY Packing Materials

We offer as standard three different varieties of C18 packing material. We can also custom-pack Velocity columns with the material of your choice. Please contact Optimize for more information on this option.

MONITOR � C18

Manufactured by Column Engineering, Inc., using state-of-the-art technology: for reversed phase separations with minimal secondary interactions. Monitor is an excellent alternative for most C18 applications requiring base-deactivated columns, especially for difficult pharmaceutical and peptide applications.

KROMASIL � C18

This material is very popular for bath pharmaceutical and bioscience industries, especially for preparative and pilot applications.

RELIASIL � C18

Manufactured by Column Engineering, Inc., Reliasil is an oligomerically derivatized silica gel. It is preferred by many chromatographers for its chemical stability and effectiveness in the reversed phase separations of peptides, pharmaceuticals, and derivatized amino acids.

Velocity Columns

All the information you need to order Velocity column cartridges is included in the table below. Follow these instructions to build the correct part number for the columns you require.
1) The Part Number column on the left side of the table lists part numbers that correspond to unique column length and ID dimensions, in millimeters. Start by choosing the correct 7 digit number for the dimension you need (e.g. 12-02401-** for a 2.1 x 15mm column.)

2) Each Velocity part number requires a two letter PACKING CODE to designate the packing material required � this CODE will replace �**� in the part number found above. Packing materials are listed at the top of the table, and are aligned vertically with the corresponding Packing Codes, shown just above the packing size..

3) Prices are listed on the right side of the table, in �matrix� format. To find the correct price for the column of your choice, find the pricing cell that aligns horizontally with packing type and vertically with column dimension � that�s your list price.
