Finnigan MAT 4000 GC Injection Port Repair

The welds and capillary lines on the Finnigan 4000 GC injection port system can be repaired if the welds begin to leak or if they break off. The stainless steel capillary lines can also be replaced with new stainless lines for an additional charge. After repair, all assemblies are helium leak checked.

Finnigan MAT 5100 & MAT 9610 GC Injection Port Repair

As with the Finnigan 4000 injection port, the injection port assembly for the Finnigan 5100 GC and 9610 GC, as well as other model GC injection ports, can be repaired. S.I.S. will reweld all broken or leaking stainless steel capillary lines or replace them with new 1/16" stainless steel capillary tubing if required. After repair all assemblies are helium leak checked.

Injection Port Insert Removal

The inserts which are placed in the injection ports to allow capillary usage may get stuck and become difficult to remove. S.I.S. can remove these inserts and we will polish the outside surfaces to minimize any future problems.

Replacement of Damaged Threads On Injection Ports

If the threads on the fittings of any model GC injection port become damaged, cross-threaded, or scored, the entire fitting can be replaced. Our repair includes cutting off the old fitting, fabricating a new fitting with threads, TIG vacuum welding the fitting to the injection port body, and helium leak checking the finished injection port to assure leak-free operation.
