Can replace the #G1099-80001 (includes #05971-80103 multiplier). Notes: Full assembly (frame mount + #14616 multiplier). Discrete dynode style.

The ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM for the Agilent Technologies 5973 MSD (Mass Selective Detector) is specifically designed for the instrument. It is a direct "plug-in" replacement electron multiplier assembly for the HP5973 MSD series mass spectrometer and is fully compatible with Agilent Technologies hardware and "Auto-tune" software.

ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM are a new development in multiplier technology that incorporate totally air-stable "ACTIVE FILM" materials into a discrete-dynode multiplier design to produce an exceptionally sensitive ion detector with long operating life and excellent air stability. ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM give a combination of performance and durability unsurpassed by any other type of electron multiplier detector.

ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM have higher gain than alternative multipliers resulting in consistently lower multiplier voltages. Their long operating lifetime means less frequent multiplier replacement and reduced instrument down-time.

ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM are a new type of electron multiplier detector for mass spectrometry and represent the latest development in electron multiplier technology.

ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM combine the wide dynamic range and longevity of discrete-dynode multipliers, with the compact size and air stability of continuous-dynode multipliers.

ACTIVE FILM Multipliers^TM are completely air-stable while exhibiting extremely wide dynamic range, long operational life, and very high sensitivity.

NOTE: Initial installation of the ACTIVE FILM Multipliers for the HP5973 MSD requires part number 14617, which requires part number 14617, which includes the electron multiplier and the mount.

The mount houses the HED (high energy diode) which increases the energy of the ions and reduces multiplier contamination.

After initial installation, only the replacement electron multiplier, Part No. 14616, is required.
