A number of profit and non-profit organizations sponsor courses relating to mass spectrometry and gas chromatography. The following courses are open to further your education in the field of mass spectrometry.
If your organization is sponsoring a course and would like to have it listed here, give us a call and we would be happy to include it. If you have a home page we can hyperlink to your page or we can also supply expanded listings of courses for your organization.
Courses in interpretation of mass spectra, LC/MS Fundamentals, GC/MS, and protein and peptide characterization with mass spectrometry are offered by Mass Spec Training.com (http://www.mass-spec-training.com). These courses are taught by O. David Sparkman, Frederick Klink, J. Throck Watson, and Patrick R. Jones.
Open enrollment courses are offered in various locations around the US, Europe, and Asia each year. Once a year, a five-day intensive hands-on course on Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry is taught at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California (usually the first week in August). On-site training is also available. Go to the Mass-Spec-Training.com web site for more information or e-mail

About the Course: For this very popular LC/MS/MS 101 short course the objective is quite straightforward: to provide the attendee with a concrete understanding of the fundamentals of mass spectrometry, with a focus on liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and LC/tandem MS (LC/MS/MS). A full course syllabus is provided when you download the information. The course is catered to analysts new to mass spectrometry, or associated scientists looking for a solid understanding of the technology.
