• CNC Machinist - (Plumsteadville, PA -- Posted March 2008)
  
  This is a full time position to perform various functions in the machine shop of Scientific Instrument Services (SIS) in Plumsteadville. PA. SIS specializes in precision machining of miniature parts and instruments for scientific and medical instruments. The SIS machine shops are professional, clean and modern shops with the latest technology including computer controlled CNC lathes, CNC mills, turning centers and Swiss style equipment. We offer a clean, safe, ISO environment, smoke-free, heated and air-conditioned shop geared to manufacture close tolerance and high finishes required for the medical and scientific components. We offer a comprehensive benefit package including health insurance and profit sharing pension plan. Overtime is also available. The job involves working in our machine shop on CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills, CNC Turning Centers, Swiss Screw Machines, and other machine shop equipment machining precision parts from stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, polymers and many other materials.
• Assistant Machinist - (Plumsteadville, PA -- Posted March 2008)
  
  This is a full time position to perform various functions in the final preparation of machined parts in the machine shop of Scientific Instrument Services (SIS) in Plumsteadville. PA. SIS specializes in precision machining of miniature parts and instruments for scientific and medical instruments. The SIS machine shops are professional, clean and modern shops with the latest technology including computer controlled CNC machines. We offer a clean, safe, ISO environment, smoke-free, heated and air-conditioned shop geared to manufacture parts for the medical and scientific customer. The job involves working in our machine shop in the sawing, deburring, and washing of completed machined parts.

• Small Parts Assembly & Repair (Ringoes, NJ -- Posted March 2008)
  This is a full time (and or part time) position to perform various functions in the instrument repair shops at Scientific Instrument Services in Ringoes, NJ. Duties will include small parts assembly, cleaning, micro spot-welding, small parts packaging, and the repair and manufacture of a variety of scientific instrument parts. The work is on a small scale and involves the use of miniature tooling and welding techniques. Some repairs are done using microscopes due to the small size of the parts. The job may also include working in our electronic equipment assembly shops.
• Quality Control Inspector (Ringoes, NJ -- Posted March 2008)
  This is a full time position to perform various functions in the instrument repair shops at Scientific Instrument Services in Ringoes, NJ. Duties will include the quality control inspection of a variety of small scientific instrument parts manufactured and repaired by SIS.
